LETTERS: Lonegan is a real conservative

Steve Lonegan, a conservative Republican, handily defeated ultraliberal Democrat Cory Booker in New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District last year. Lonegan has proven that he can win here with his strong conservative values message.

Why then is the Republican Party in the 3rd District now doing everything possible to convince voters that liberal Tom MacArthur is suddenly a transformed conservative?

The fact of the matter is this: Republican Party power brokers do not support true conservative values and want to sell voters a “conservative during the election only” candidate.

Voters are not fooled by big money, vote buying and ad barrages to transform MacArthur into a conservative. This June, voters will show the Republican Party that Steve Lonegan is the only real conservative Republican in this race they can trust to represent them in Washington.
