LETTERS: Lonegan sets a good example

Steve Lonegan, a Republican candidate for New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District, recently made his tax returns available to the press. Lonegan also called on his opponent, Tom MacArthur, to do the same.

You would think this would be a no-brainer for MacArthur. Why not join Lonegan to show voters that you’re also willing to set a tone of openness, transparency and honesty in this campaign? It would be a nice change of pace from what I’ve seen of MacArthur thus far. What does he have to hide, anyway?

Lonegan has openly released his returns in the past, and I’m glad to see him do so again this year.
