MacArthur’s Repeated Attempts to Silence Critics Backfires

LAVALLETTE, NJ - Today Steve Lonegan’s campaign for Congress releases the following attorney’s letter and campaign statement in response to Tom MacArthur’s repeated efforts to silence his detractors.
Statement from Lonegan spokesman, Tim Kelly:
“Elections are about free speech. Tom MacArthur’s ill advised letter directed to the Lonegan campaign will not stifle this right.
“In fact, MacArthur’s letter has brought more attention to the very issue he is working desperately to make go away. Several newspapers and websites are reporting that the firm Tom MacArthur created, York Risk Services, has been the subject of numerous lawsuits and fines for its business practices. York’s own website even claims to save large insurance companies an average of 61% on each bill-an act of pocketing money that’s rightfully owed to policyholders who have been victims of disasters like wildfires and Hurricanes Sandy and Ike.
“Like Hillary Clinton, MacArthur claim this is some right wing conspiracy. Does he believe that ABC News, the Burlington County Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, and so many other papers and news sources are part of this conspiracy? Each source has reported on how York delayed, mistreated, and failed to pay claims of the victims of tragedies.”
