LAVALLETTE, NJ – Today former mayor and conservative candidate for New Jersey’s third congressional district, Steve Lonegan, announces two new endorsements of his campaign.

Today’s announcement follows Lonegan’s endorsements by six other Tea Party organizations across New Jersey and the United States that include: Tea Party Express, NJ Tea Party Caucus, West Jersey Tea Party, TPATH, Team NJ, and the Jersey Shore Tea Party/Ocean County Citizens for Freedom.

Lonegan has also earned the support of conservative champions such as former Representative, Ron Paul, radio personality, Mark Levin, and the Conservative Campaign Committee.

Medford Mayor Chris Buoni distributed the following statement this morning:

“Over the years, Steve Lonegan has been a consistent voice for common sense in Washington. He has been clear and has never wavered in his belief in limited government and fiscal sanity. More importantly, Steve Lonegan has a plan for how he will be an effective Congressman. The other candidates may be intelligent people who have conservative ideals, but are they prepared? Do they really understand what it will take to make a difference in Washington and do they have the will to follow their convictions; even when the opposition is strong? So far, I have only heard one candidate, Steve Lonegan, articulate an actual plan. That’s why Steve Lonegan has my support.”

Tea Party Patriots of Southern New Jersey President Dennis Mahon released the following statement:

“Mr. Lonegan has continually defended our constitutional rights from further erosions, guaranteeing our gun rights, opposing our runaway debt, forced amnesty, and — Obamacare. Mr. Lonegan has a proven track record of fighting for the people of NJ and the country taking on issues that most politicians would avoid. He stood up to Governor Corzine when he tried to sell off our highways. He stood up to the environmentalists who want to force extreme measures on citizens based on the false science of global warming / climate change —- at a tremendous cost to our economy. Therefore the TPPSNJ endorses Mayor Steven Lonegan for United States Congress.”

“I’m humbled and grateful to earn the endorsement of Mayor Buoni as well as the tremendous Tea Party Patriots of Southern New Jersey,” said Lonegan. “The organizational ability as well as the respect that this support garners is most definitely welcome as we inch closer to an Election Day fight against a very liberal opponent.”
